What a week! Sheffield had a ball hosting the MOBO Awards for the first time plus a series of fantastic fringe events leading up to it.
The MOBO events may be over but there is lots to look forward to over the coming weeks with Lunar New Year, Valentine's Day (whatever your relationship status), markets and more. Check out what's on below!

Sheffield is set to play host to its largest Lunar New Year celebration ever, with a five-day festival roaring into the city from 9th - 13th February.
As we welcome in the Year of the Dragon, Sheffield's celebration includes a weekend of food and cultural activities in the Peace Gardens, a huge illuminated dragon display at Sheffield Children's Hospital, a grand showcase event at the University of Sheffield's Octagon Centre, a parade in Meadowhall and much more!

The Sheffield Vegan Market returns to take over The Moor.
The event brings together a huge variety of vegan street food vendors, artisan bakers, craft brewers, ethical jewellers, sustainable chandlers, local artists, zero-waste champions, environmental charities and more.

The Leadmill is hosting a night of top quality stand-up in aid of local charity Support Dogs for people living with autism, epilepsy or physical disability.
Comics Jonathan Mayor, Vix Leyton, Kate McCabe and Rob Mulholland will provide the laughs, Sheffield's BKED Cake House will be on hand for drinks and sweet treats and there will be raffle prizes up for grabs.
There is also the chance to meet puppies and dogs in training.

A new milestone family concert in Sheffield will give children the phenomenal experience of seeing an orchestra live this month.
Concerteenies is hosting Stan and Mabel, a musical story based on the book by Jason Chapman, with Sheffield's well-loved Hallam Sinfonia orchestra for one day only.
There will be two shows including one which is BSL interpreted.

Get up close with piglets, lambs, chicks and guinea pigs at Graves Park Animal Farm. Farmers will be on hand to help groom, stroke and handle the animals and answer any questions.

February half term Tropical Butterfly House
The National Emergency Services Museum runs monthly sensory play sessions where under 5s explore a different theme each time and get hands on with crafts, interactive activities, songs, stories and more.
February's session is all about armour and gives kids the chance to create their own as well as take part in other activities.
No booking required and it's free for visitors with a museum ticket. Drop in any time between 10.30am and 12.30pm or between 1pm and 3pm.

February marks LGBTQ+ History Month in the UK. A time to shine a light on the LGBTQ+ community – their history, the impact they've had on the world, and their struggles for equality in the face of discrimination and injustice.

This new immersive exhibition sees contemporary artists Matterlurgy explore how our lives are intertwined with our local water infrastructure, from historic wells to expansive reservoirs.
Visitors will experience a multi-channel film and sound installation highlighting the architectural, technological and sonic aspects of our reservoirs, alongside photographs of historic wells celebrating our earliest access to water and the relics associated with it.

Develop your drawing skills working from a nude model with support from one of Sheffield Museum's regular artist tutors.

Nothing heralds the start of spring better than beautiful snowdrops and Wentworth Woodhouse is an ideal place to see them!
