Be part of our Scrutiny Panel or become a Mystery Shopper
We are still on the search for more volunteers. If you are interested we will be offering drop-in sessions at the end of September/early October where you will be able to meet the team and discuss any questions that you may have.
Would you like to form a Scrutiny Panel or to become Mystery Shoppers. By you being involved this will allow us to measure the quality of the service that we provide to you and make, where appropriate necessary changes to improve tenant experience. Volunteers will closely inspect how we deliver our services within the Housing and Neighbourhood Service and allow you to shape our services.
What is a Scrutiny Panel?
The areas or subject will be led by the panel. We will share up to date Performance data for this area, such as tenant satisfaction measures. You will speak to staff about this and will also look at our policies alongside our procedures.
What role does a Scrutiny Panel play?
Being part of a group of people called a scrutiny panel you will be looking at your own experience of specific services. The data you collect will provide us with valuable feedback and give you the opportunity to suggest how we make improvements to the services we deliver to you. You will also receive up to date information on our performance, on areas such as but not limited to repairs, estates, ASB, safety and complaints.
What is Mystery shopping?
This allows us to measure the level of service being offered, with a view of identifying areas of improvement from the quality of service, level of info and customer service.
What does this look like?
As a mystery shopper you may be asked to visit a First Point or to call us with a view of rating the service that you receive. You maybe tasked with asking our staff certain questions; see how our staff respond to you; find out if certain information is easily available; telephone one of our services to determine length of answering times or visit an online service to tell us how easy it is to navigate.

Why do we want this information?
Your opinions matter to us and this will ultimately help you and your fellow tenants. It is very important for us to us to get the views of the people that use our services, where it counts, at the point of use. This will allow us to highlight any issues and make necessary improvements to the services that we deliver to you.
What are the time commitments?
This is flexible and will be based on the time you are able to offer which could be a few hours a month and at times that suit your circumstances. We appreciate that may not have much time to spare and also feel that based on your own experience that you would like to be involved in some areas more than others. Note that your involvement is very much welcomed and is invaluable to us.
