Autumn has arrived and what better time to get out and explore our great outdoors. The weather might be cooling down, it doesn’t mean our events are. We've moved to a fortnightly update and there's still plenty to enjoy, with Sheffield, The Outdoor City, truly living up to it's name this month.

Celebrating the rich heritage of Sheffield's oldest quarter there's all sorts going on, with crafts, exhibitions, food & drink, films, music and more! And don't miss the Skate Jam Street Party Festival this weekend by Exchange Street Collective.

A competitor races through the trails in Grenoside Woods
Get ready racers and brace yourselves as Peaty’s Steel City Downhill is back for 2023.
More than 200 competitors, aged 10 to 70 years old, will take to the trails of Grenoside Woods. Spectate and support for a day of thrills all whilst helping to raise money to fund trail building and maintenance in the woods.

There's still time to enjoy Sheffield Walking Festival.
Bringing together a host of local outdoor communities and national organisations, such as the National Trust, Peak District National Park Authority, Ramblers Association, Heritage Open Days and Walkers Are Welcome, it's a fantastic way to experience beautiful and interesting guided walks across our city.
There are many walks of varying distance and difficulty so that anyone and everyone can get involved, highlights still to come include the 15mile Sheffield Round Walk.

Runners take to the streets for the Run For All Sheffield 10K
The Sheffield 10K is back and there's still time to enter if you fancy taking on our brilliant route right from the heart of our city centre, out to Endcliffe Park and back, and of course there's a couple of hills in there!
Whether you're participating or spectating it's a great day, raising thousands for many charities, with an amazing atmosphere all along the course.
Sunday 24 September 2023: 9:30am start Arundel Gate area Free for spectators, entry fees apply for runners
Our beautiful Sheffield General Cemetery has a great range of events happening across the coming weekend, including a Sketch Walk, Artists Exhibition and Trail, Creative sessions and a historical Remembrance Tour. It's also a great opportunity to check out the amazing restoration work that's recently been completed on site.
