Correction to previous information sent: Local Elections 4 May 2023
We apologise that incorrect information was provided in our last elections email. We stated:
“The deadlines are 17 April to vote in person and 18 April if you want to vote by post.”
This is not the case.
The deadline for all applications to register to vote is Monday 17 April. For any registered voter who wants to vote by post, or to cancel/amend a postal vote the deadline is 5pm on Tuesday 18 April.
We apologise for any confusion.
Polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm on Thursday 4 May.

You will need to bring photo ID to vote at polling stations for the local elections on 4 May 2023.
Photo ID which will be accepted can be found on our voter ID page.
All voters will be asked to show ID before their ballot paper is issued.
Please note this does not affect postal voters.
If you do not have valid Photo ID you can apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate (VAC). The deadline for applications is 25 April.
