Grass verges serve many purposes across Sheffield, from providing habitats for local wildlife to bordering roads and pavements.
Streets Ahead maintain verges as part of their routine programme of works and in recent years, we've introduced a number of 'wild verges' as well as reducing the amount of grass cutting and weed spraying on some grassed verges.
These changes have helped reduce our environmental impact and allowed nature to thrive in communities across the city.
