Last Saturday we had a great time at the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 Roadshow and welcomed Football Focus broadcasting live from the event in the Peace Gardens. The Roadshow really helped build the excitement in the city for the tournament arriving in July - watch our highlights to see what happened!

Thomas Bateman (1821–1861) was fascinated by the past. He was a pioneering Victorian antiquarian and he founded a museum at his home. Much of the city’s local archaeology collection can be traced to Bateman and this exhibition at Weston Park explores his legacy.

 Russ Thomas and Jack Jordan novels
Come along and listen to Sheffield’s own best-selling crime writer, Russ Thomas chat about his third novel set in the city. Russ is joined by Jack Jordan and they will both be discussing their latest novels with David Mark at this free event in Central Library.

This is the headline event for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in Sheffield. A free entry, jam packed programme full of family friendly fun. Loads of activities and entertainment planned throughout the day including the lighting of Sheffield's official beacon at 9.45pm.

Sheffield Food Festival will celebrate its 10th anniversary in the city centre from 2–5 June with a Jubilee theme alongside a big screen in the Peace Gardens to watch events live from London. It will be a feast for your senses so come and join the fun as Sheffield celebrates in style.

 Salsa in the Square at Leopold Square
Music and dancing is back in Leopold Square across the Queen's Jubilee weekend, kicking off with Salsa in the Square on 2 June.
Plus live performers will be entertaining the crowds of Leopold Square on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 June.

The festival shines a light on international communities which call Sheffield home and highlights the positive impact migration and refugees have in bringing the city together.
Theatre, music, food and performance events will be running in venues including The Leadmill and The Montgomery Theatre.

 Sheffield DocFest 2022
The 29th edition of Sheffield DocFest is bringing the documentary community and audiences back to Sheffield between 23 – 28 June 2022.

The full programme and individual tickets will be available from 31 May.
Journalist Suzanne Wrack discusses 'A Woman's Game', her new book describing the rise, fall and rise again of women's football. She explores the history of women's football from the Victorian era, with players in high-heeled boots to the present day.
