This year we're bringing arguably, the biggest year of major events that Sheffield has ever seen, with international sport taking centre stage. Here's the latest on what's been happening...
UEFA WEURO2022 Host City Roadshow
We're super proud that Sheffield is the first Host City on the UEFA Women's EURO 2022 Roadshow, on Saturday 21 May in the Peace Gardens.
Come and enjoy this free, family event with loads of football fun and interactive challenges, fitness, live music, legends from the women’s game and you can find out about getting involved in grassroots football.
If you've not got your tickets yet to the tournament in July, all UEFA Women's EURO 2022 matches are now on general sale.
General sale is closing tomorrow (26 April) and reopening on 10 May, while seats are allocated, if you want the best seats in the house book now!
As part of the UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 legacy programme, we want more female coaches and volunteers across the game and Sheffield wants to double the number of female coaches by 2024.
To reach this goal, Sheffield FA are hosting a free online coaching workshop for newly qualified female coaches and female coaches looking to gain a little more confidence on Thursday 28 April at 6.30pm. It's an opportunity to gain further knowledge around ‘Knowing the Basics’ of coaching in grassroots football.
Sheffield welcomes the WEURO trophy to Bramall Lane
We loved seeing some UEFA WEURO 2022 action at half time during Sheffield United v's Reading last week.
Thanks to all the girls who took part and showed us their great football skills alongside the stunning UEFA Women's EURO 2022 trophy that was on display - you have all helped us feel very excited for the tournament arriving here in July!

World Seniors Snooker Championships
It's all a bit snooker loopy in Sheffield at the moment, and we're excited that the World Seniors Snooker Championship is returning to Sheffield Theatres next week...
The 24 players including legends Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Ken Doherty, Joe Johnson and defending champion David Lilley will be at the Crucible in May to take part in the Ways Facilities Management World Seniors Snooker Championship.
Get up close and personal with Barry Hearn in An Evening With, to celebrate the release of his autobiography: My Life.
His book is out on 28 April, and all those who go to the show on Tuesday 3 May will receive a signed copy in with their ticket price.
RLWC 2021 Mascot competition
Rugby League World Cup is running a competition for under 16’s to design and name the official RLWC2021 mascot to be used at the tournament later this year.
The lucky winner will see their design brought to life as the official tournament mascot, receive tickets to the Men’s and Women’s finals and share the excitement by taking their whole class to another tournament match!
