Elections 5 May 2022
Everyone registered to vote by the end of tomorrow (14 April) will have 2 votes on 5 May:
- Local Elections
- Mayor of South Yorkshire
Over 90% of our eligible residents are registered to vote and you should already have had your poll notice in the post if you are. If you haven’t had one yet, you might be one of the 10% not registered.
Registering to vote is easy, go online at www.gov.uk/registertovote if you don’t think you are registered at your current address or if you have changed your name recently.
Choose how to vote
You can vote by post, by proxy or in person.
Don’t miss these important deadlines:
- Apply for a new postal vote, change or cancel an existing postal vote or proxy - 19 April by 5pm
- Apply for a proxy vote - 26 April by 5pm
If you are voting in person, polling stations are open from 7am until 10pm on 5 May. Details of your polling station are on your poll notice.
