Happy Easter
Welcome to the Easter edition of Sheffield SENDIAS newsletter!
The spring term has been a busy time, with all COVID-19 restrictions being lifted and business as usual for everyone. Here at SSENDIAS we continue to support parents and carers of children and young people (0-25) with special educational needs and disabilities on education and related health and social care matters by providing free, impartial and confidential information, advice and support.
Over the past couple of months, we have been fortunate enough to get out and about meeting families once again. We have attended various events:
- Sheffield Parent Carer Forum ‘Family Support Information Day’
- Post 16 ‘Preparation for Adulthood Drop In Event’
- Family Action ADHD Group parents session
There are other events planned so keep a look out on our social media.
If you are running any events and feel your members would benefit from meeting some of the SSENDIAS team then please get in touch.
We can be reached through:
Telephone 0114 2736009, Email, Website, Facebook and Instagram.

Stress-busting activities for parent carers with Sheffield Parent Carer Forum
Parenting a child with additional needs can be very stressful. It is important (but far from easy) to take time out to look after yourself and recharge your batteries. A great way to do this is to engage in something creative.
Upcoming sessions:
-
Creative writing (28 March, 12-2.30pm)
-
Japanese hand stitching (29 April, 10am-12.30pm)
-
Collage (25 May, 12-2.30pm)
