Burgess Street to temporarily close

To allow for major construction work on the Radisson Blu hotel development, part of the wider Heart of the City scheme in Sheffield City Centre, Burgess Street is set to temporarily close from 15 July 2021.

New 2 year tree planting project

To celebrate the start of a new 2 year community tree planting project a new tree was planted at Carter Knowle Park yesterday, by officers from Sheffield Parks and Countryside. The project aims to increase tree and woodland cover in the city.

The sculpture trail is back for another year as bears have taken to the streets of Sheffield.

You will meet 100 little bears decorated by talented school children of all ages from schools across the region. Plus 60 big bear sculptures brought to life by professional local and international artists.

Four weeks of Rugby Fun from 26 July

The Eagles Foundation are running loads of fun and healthy activities for young people aged 8 to 14, boys and girls… and you could meet a local Rugby star from Sheffield Eagles’ first team.

Courses start on the 26th July from 9am to 1pm, Monday to Friday and run for the next four weeks of the summer holidays, at Parsons Cross Park Pavilion.
