On 5 July the Government Covid update, stated that from 19 July restrictions on face coverings, social distancing, and working from home will change.
All other remaining businesses including nightclubs are set to reopen from 19 July. This will be reviewed on 12 July. We'll send you Sheffield updates as we get them.

Domestic abuse and football
Sadly, we see a rise in cases of domestic abuse when football tournaments are on. If you or someone you know needs support click the button below to get help.
Cases of Covid-19 are increasing in Sheffield. We must do everything we can to keep cases low and stop the spread in our schools. To help with this, secondary school children must keep doing their twice weekly tests and isolate at home if positive.
This will help us to:
- Reduce disruption to learning
- Protect our communities and those who haven’t been vaccinated yet
- Protect young people from Long Covid
- Enjoy summer in Sheffield safely
The Covid Community Bus will be travelling all over Sheffield to parks, schools, community events and vaccine clinics and will provide:
- Covid 19, lateral flow tests for those without symptoms
- free boxes of home testing lateral flow device kits
- vaccinations advice and support to book an appointment
- Advice and support on self-isolation including help to access financial support

Sheffield United is holding its first walk-in vaccination clinic on Saturday 10 July for first and second doses of Pfizer or AZ.
- Kick-off is 9am - Cherry Street entrance.
- No entry after 2pm.

Drive through blood taking service
If you have been invited to attend the drive-through blood service, please note that it has moved to City Parkway, Parkway Avenue, Sheffield.
Fresh air circulating in the home is as important as hand washing, face coverings and social distancing to help reduce the spread of the virus.
Open windows regularly to let fresh air circulate at home.
Work and businesses
And if you are using any close contact business such as getting a haircut, a massage, a tattoo – businesses should also be aware of the importance of good ventilation. It might mean a drafty haircut, but it also means a safer one.
