Electric Van Trial Now Live
30 electric vans are now available to trial by businesses in Sheffield for up to two months. There is no hire cost for the vans, but businesses will need to provide their own insurance and pay a deposit.

 The scheme is aimed at business, organisations and charities which:
- Operate in Sheffield
- Are not already operating an electric van

About The Vans
All the available vans are Nissan e-NV200s.
- Range of between 124-187 miles
- Maximum Payload of 700kgs with 4.2m³, enough for two pallets.
- 100% electric, with a 40kwh battery.

Charging the vans
Sheffield's newly installed rapid chargers will provide 80% of the battery in under an hour. They can also be charged using Type 2 or CHAdeMO. Charging times are:
- Rapid Charge - 80% in under an hour
- Fast Charger - 4-7 hours for a full charge

Vans are supplied with an adaptor for a regular UK three-pin socket, it is much slower than a dedicated charge point, taking over 20 hours for a full charge and may involve running charging cables from inside your home.
