Free Covid-19 secure packs available for Sheffield taxi drivers
We are encouraging taxi drivers to take advantage of 400 additional Covid-19 secure packs available to help them continue to operate safely as lockdown restrictions begin to lift over the coming months.
In collaboration with the Pakistan Muslim Centre (PMC), the Council is offering taxi drivers access to free face coverings and hand sanitiser which will be available to collect from the PMC centre on Woodburn Road on Wednesday 24th March between 11am and 2.30pm.
The Government have released a simple set of easy to read guidelines on how to prevent the spread of Coronovirus.

Director of Public Health Greg Fell
Greg Fell, Director of Public Health in Sheffield, outlines Sheffield's weekly position with the latest epidemiology figures, a vaccination programme update and more information on Sheffield's asymptomatic testing. He also addresses questions he's been asked about transmissions and schools.
Following the return to school, we have received reports of: • children having sleepovers and playdates at friends' houses • children with symptoms not getting tests and being sent to school • a lack of social distancing This could cause an increase in cases and stop our roadmap out of lockdown.
