After raining heavily through the night, we are not expecting any more heavy rainfall in the coming days.

We continue to work with the Environment Agency and other partners and will be monitoring areas across the city, responding to any issues that arise.

Road Closures

For precaution road closures are in place at Meadowhall Drive, Fife Street and Bradfield Road (eastbound).

Flood Alerts

Water levels are reducing and we expect the 5 flood alerts in place (Blackburn Brook, Middle River Don, River Sheaf & Porter Brook, Upper Derwent and Upper River Don catchment) to be removed at some point today.

Millhouses Park has reopened but care should still be taken near to the water, and in all outdoor spaces close to the water such as Endcliffe, Forge Dam and Rivelin.

In line with the current Covid guidelines, we are still advising people to stay at home and only travel where it is absolutely necessary and only for essential reasons.

Vaccination and Testing centres

Testing and vaccination centres are open, access routes have been gritted and appointments should be attended unless it is unsafe for you to do so.

The Meadowhall testing centre is still closed but those with an appointment will be contacted directly with alternative arrangements.
