Happy New Year to all our tenants, leaseholders and their families - and welcome to our first customer bulletin of 2021.
Although we are starting the new year with another national lockdown, we are hopeful that the situation will start to improve sooner rather than later and we can all get back to some sort of normality.
In the meantime, please continue to follow the current lockdown restrictions that have been put in place to try and combat the rise in coronavirus cases. It may feel like what we are doing isn’t making any difference but following the rules will help to save lives and reduce pressure on the NHS.
Reporting a repair
As a result of the new national lock down, we have had to make changes to our housing repairs service.
We will now only be able to take requests for urgent and emergency repairs - if you need to report one of these please call 0114 273 5555. If your repair is not urgent or an emergency we will be unable to deal with it at this time. However, please be assured that we will continue to support our most vulnerable tenants and individual circumstances will always be considered when responding to calls.
Routine gas servicing will continue, and we will continue to deal with heating breakdowns. However, any planned heating installations will be cancelled for the time being – as will all other planned repairs, appointments and inspections. We will contact anyone affected by this.
We apologise to all tenants affected by these changes, and thank you for your understanding and patience. We hope to return to a more normal service as soon as the Covid19 situation allows.
Gas safety checks
If you have received your gas safety appointment, please call 0114 2735555 to confirm or reschedule it. Our checks ensure you and your household are safe from carbon monoxide poisoning and that your home’s heating is working efficiently this winter.

Covid survey scam
Please be aware of survey scams that are doing the rounds on social media.
A recent Twitter one asked people to provide details of how they have coped with the coronavirus pandemic. It then requested personal details and offered to pay out £25 for completing the survey, no doubt using this to try and get hold of personal bank details.
Please take great care when providing personal details to any third party.
