Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year

yolly

2020 has been an unpredictable and challenging year for us all and with 2021 on the horizon, we would like to wish everyone a happy and healthy Christmas and New Year.

With lockdowns and restrictions significantly impacting our daily lives; businesses and services are also still being affected by the pandemic. Despite this, Streets Ahead have been able to continue with essential highway maintenance works across the city. From resurfacing work to street cleaning, our services have continued wherever it was safe to do so, ensuring the safety of our staff and the general public remained a priority.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Sheffield residents for their support and patience whilst we have continued to deliver our programme of works in communities across the city.

Over the Christmas period, our teams will be on call 24 hours a day to respond to any issues that arise on the highway, including winter maintenance queries.

Be ready for winter weather

With colder temperatures forecast for this week and next, it's important that we are all prepared when freezing conditions arrive.

Our priority gritting service will ensure key routes stay clear during ice and snow events and we monitor the weather forecast closely to act swiftly when wintry conditions are expected.

Find out more about our priority gritting routes, locate your nearest grit bin or watch our handy grit spreading video.
