The amount of funding for businesses in the hospitality, accommodation and leisure sectors has been increased. To reflect the new Tier 3 restrictions, up to £6,000 additional funding will be given to businesses who successfully apply for a Lockdown Grant.
The top-up will automatically be applied to eligible grant payments so you don't need to apply for anything else to access the top up. It will also be applied retrospectively to grants that have already been paid where eligible. Lockdown Grants are available for both ratepayers and non-ratepayers.
The Lockdown Grant includes:
- the national lockdown period from 5th November
- the initial Tier 2 and Tier 3 period back to 14th October (for some businesses)
A separate Supply Chain Grant is available for businesses with premises costs, where the majority of business activity is supplying to the hospitality, accommodation, leisure or entertainment sectors. The amount of funding for this grant has also increased and the deadline has been extended to 15th January.
More information about the grants and wider support for businesses is available on the Sheffield City Council website, here.
