Sheffield Education & Skills Strategy (draft): A Vision For 2030

We’re asking parents and carers, staff from across the schools, early years settings, further education and the local authority to share their views and priorities to help shape our future Education & Skills Strategy.

To help inform our strategy and ensure it responds to the needs of the city, we’ve launched a consultation this week. We’d like to hear from as many of you as possible, from all roles, to help shape the strategic direction for the city.

There are two ways to get involved:

  1. Send us your thoughts via our online survey before Thursday 7 January 2021
  2. Learn Sheffield are hosting a series of consultation events via workshops and sector events, further detail will follow from Learn Sheffield

We will also be asking children and young people to get involved and we will work with schools and settings to work out the best platform for this given the pandemic restrictions.

In addition to the consultation regarding the education element of the strategy, we are working with Sheffield Hallam University to develop a skills strategy informed by employers, the public sector and third sector organisations. A set of consultation and engagement events with employers and the other key stakeholders, including young people impacted by Covid-19, is taking place at this time to inform this work.
