Businesses urged to prepare applications for first come, first served financial support
A new Restart and Recovery fund, available from Wednesday 2nd December, will help businesses who have been unable to trade conventionally during the Covid-19 lockdowns to adapt using technology and other initiatives.
Businesses will be able to apply into the £1.1m Restart and Recovery support fund to implement more effective ways of working, trade online or employ initiatives to build customer confidence.
Apply for a lockdown support grant
Grants of up to £3,000 are available for businesses that have been forced to close in the national lockdown or were subject to restrictions during local lockdown. This includes hospitality, entertainment, leisure and sport facilities, non-essential retail and health and beauty sectors, as well as community halls and accommodation.
It is important to note that businesses who have been forced to close under the national lockdown but are operating either a takeaway or click and collect service are still eligible to apply for the grant.
Last week, Business Sheffield held three Critical Business Workshops especially for High Street Businesses impacted by restrictions. The recordings of those workshops are now available to view online for anyone who was unable to attend. There’s also a series of survival blog articles on various themes to help businesses.
