4th Local Testing Centre announced

We are introducing a 4th Local Testing Centre in Upperthorpe to enable more people to get tested in our effort to combat the spread of the virus in our city. More information can be found on our website.

Local Restriction Business Support Grant

The application for the Local Restriction Business Support Grant is now live. If your business was trading as usual but has been forced to close because of the new local restrictions, you may be able to apply for a grant.

What to do if you have signs or symptoms

If you have any of the main symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19), you must self-isolate and get a test as soon as possible.

There are now 6 testing centres in Sheffield at the following locations:

  • Local Testing Site at Sharrow
  • Local Testing Site at Darnall
  • Regional Testing Site at Meadowhall
  • The Mobile Testing Unit based at Olympic Legacy Park has relocated to Milton Street Car Park in Broomhall.
  • Local Testing Site at Burngreave
  • Local Testing Site at Upperthorpe (Pilot begins 3 Nov, Fully open 5 Nov)

You should only book a test if you have symptoms of Covid-19. Tests must be pre-booked and can only be booked via the national NHS portal online nhs.uk/coronavirus or by calling 119. Stay at home and continue to self-isolate until you get your test results - only leave home to have a test.

Winter Art Competition - Gritter Design

Sheffield’s primary school children are being invited to showcase their artistic talents by creating designs for two of the city’s gritting lorries, which form part of the fleet helping to keep Sheffield safe during winter. Deadline for submissions is Wednesday 4th November.
