What is the Sheffield Local Plan?

What is the consultation and who is it for?

From 1st September we are launching a consultation on the ‘Sheffield Plan Issues and Options document 2020’. The consultation is for anyone who lives, works, has business in, or visits our city. This isn’t the final Sheffield Local Plan but it does outline the key opportunities and challenges for the city, and sets out some issues and options for consideration.

How do I have my say?

You can have your say via the button above/below from 1st September, where the Issues and Options document is available for download and series of videos summarising this can be viewed. We are also hosting online consultation events available via zoom starting next week giving you the opportunity to provide your views and feedback on what you would like to be included in the Sheffield Local Plan.

You can join the Zoom consultation sessions at:

3rd September

16th September

23rd September

Questions about the Issues and Options document can be submitted in advance of the sessions, and throughout the consultation period (1 September to 13 October), by emailing sheffieldplan@sheffield.gov.uk. All questions may not be answered during the sessions, but answers to questions submitted will be compiled in a Frequently Asked Questions document on the Council’s website, available via the button above/below.
