Sheffield City Council has opened applications for its Coronavirus Business Grants Scheme for a second time. The eligibility criteria of this scheme will also now be expanded to include businesses with a rental value of up to £25,000 (previously £15,000). Applications will be open for two weeks and will close at midnight on Friday 31st July.

Toilets reopen in some parks
After completing safety inspections and cleaning, the council is reopening the toilets in 6 park locations, from 9am to 5pm, 7 days per week, at

We are working very hard to reopen some playgrounds and hope to be able to do so soon, but it is important that government guidelines are met to help reduce the spread of Covid-19.
In the meantime we ask everyone not to visit playgrounds or use any of the equipment and we thank you for your continued patience while we undertake all the necessary measures.
Cemetery
Following further relaxing of Government restrictions, we have increased the number of mourners allowed at a funeral service to 25 people.
The number applies to both chapel and graveside services at all of the council’s funeral sites.
