This weekend we’re putting more measures in place to make it easier to walk and cycle safely in Sheffield, social distancing while you do. There’ll be a pop-up cycle lane from Shalesmoor roundabout to Corporation Street junction, and some roads will be closed to vehicles in Kelham Island to create a low-traffic neighbourhood.

Pubs open again this weekend and we want everyone who visits one to enjoy their experience safely. Our Director of Public Health, Greg Fell said: “The further lifting of lockdown restrictions by the Government does not mean a lift to our local safety measures. Whilst we want people to enjoy themselves we also need to reemphasise the message that we are not over the pandemic yet."
