Detailed proposals have today been unveiled for the next phase of the Heart of the City II scheme, which would see Sheffield welcome hotelier Radisson Blu to a prominent location on Pinstone Street. The development plans include a rooftop bar, courtyard, complementary retail and food and beverage units.
Children in Care Council Poems in lockdown video
Sheffield’s Children in Care Council have been working with author and Sheffield Writer in Residence Nik Perring, and musician Dominic Heslop, over the lockdown period to create a book of poems and launch a writing competition. Jane, age 15 said, “It’s been fun, enjoyable and AMAZING".

Empire Windrush ship
This week saw the 52nd anniversary of the Empire Windrush arriving at Tilbury Docks in Essex. It brought with it a workforce of around 500 Caribbean migrants to settle in the UK and help rebuild following the destruction caused during World War II.
