Victory in Europe (VE Day), held to celebrate the end of the war in Europe in 1945, will be remembered with a difference this year.
Planned celebrations will continue in ‘stay safe’ style. Join us to pay respects and say thank you to the millions who lost their lives in the Second World War.
Lockdown restrictions are still in place across the bank holiday weekend, for everyone's safety please do not be tempted to celebrate with people outside of your own household.

Tramlines weekend will not go ahead this year
Along with our partners at Tramlines, we are very sad to say that Sheffield's Tramlines weekend will not go ahead this year.
Both the main Tramlines Festival at Hillsborough Park and The Fringe at Tramlines, across the city centre, have been cancelled.

Locks in Lockdown
Current government regulations mean that many businesses have had to close during lockdown and this includes hairdressers, barbers, beauty and nail salons.
Mobile hair stylists should, of course, not continue to provide their services as their work cannot be done within social distancing guidelines.
Please don't be tempted to get your style fixed during lockdown, it's ok to have a wonky fringe, grey roots and an unruly beard.
Stay at home, stay wild and stay safe.

Clap for carers
It's that time of week again - set your reminders to join the nation at 8pm as we thank all our key workers for their amazing work, sacrifice and dedication.
But, please adhere to social distancing guidance and don't gather in groups on your street, you can be just as loud and appreciative through your living room window or your front porch.
Trip to the tip this weekend
Household Waste Recycling Centres remain open to Sheffield residents for essential visits only.
For the safety of staff and residents we have to limit the number of vehicles to ensure safe social distancing, which we are enforcing at each site.
Queuing in vehicles outside the sites is not permitted and staff are managing this.
