A day in the life of a Director of Public Health
Ever wondered what a Director of Public Health does, day to day?
How many emails do you get? What time do you get up? Do you really have that many meetings?
Sheffield DPH, Greg Fell, fills us in on his typical day during Covid-19.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
In response to emergency requests for supply of PPE to care providers struggling to obtain their own supplies, Sheffield City Council has supplied approximately 1 million items of PPE to the independent sector with 330,000 pieces of kit including masks, aprons and gloves being issued week on week.
Our deliveries continue to meet emergency demand and thanks to local businesses, we have enough to supply those in need of emergency PPE in the city. PPE continues to be a concern but we are working hard with national and regional partners to ensure we can to meet future demands for provision
