Sheffield City Council is pleased to announce that every library across the city is set to receive an additional one off cash boost of £10,000.

The strategy outlines a positive and exemplary approach to the future management of the city’s street trees, comes following months of partnership working between representatives from Sheffield City Council, Amey, Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust, Sheffield Tree Action Groups, The Woodland Trust and tree valuation experts.
 Exciting plans to retain a significant amount of heritage and create a new ‘cultural heart’ in the Council’s Heart of the City II development have been unveiled.
Sheffield City Council’s cabinet is set to agree a new strategy, Investing in Young People, which will include an extra £2 million more investment.
The strategy will bring services that support young people into one integrated model delivered by the council to meet the changing needs of Sheffield’s young people.
Sheffield City Council is one of a number of local authorities nationally changing the way that care homes are paid.
The new payment model will mean that residents will pay Sheffield City Council for any contribution that they make towards their fees instead of residents paying their contribution to their care home. The council will then give these contribution payments to the care homes as part of their overall fee.
