Sheffield City Council has set a balanced budget for 2020/21 and is investing millions of pounds in services for children and young people, improving Sheffield’s neighbourhoods, regenerating the city, and taking steps to tackle the climate crisis.

A huge 97 per cent of children in Sheffield have been given a place at one of their preferred secondary schools, new figures released today (Monday 2 March) show.
Sheffield City Council has launched a new consultation to understand what people think about working, spending time and living in the city centre.
The consultation findings will be used to inform a new Central Area Strategy that will form part of the Local Plan, which will guide development in the city until 2038.
