The Rugby League World Cup is coming to the UK – including Sheffield, with games taking place at Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane stadium in 2021. Today the RFL has launched it’s volunteer programme for the tournament.

Sheffield City Council is one of a number of councils nationally proposing to change the way that care homes are paid.

The new payment model would mean that residents would pay Sheffield City Council for any contribution that they make towards their fees instead of residents paying their contribution to their care home.

The interactive football wall at Lowfield Park is free to use and open for everybody. The wall, which features interactive games, light up skills training and target practice has been installed to support football skills development, improve access to sport and encourage more local people to enjoy being physically active.
