John Mothersole
Chief Executive, John Mothersole, has announced that he is due to retire at the end of 2019.
John joined Sheffield City Council in 1998 to take up the role of Executive Director for Development, Environment and Leisure and then in 2008 became Chief Executive, where he has led the council through a decade of unprecedented change.
Council homes
Plans for the largest council house building programme for decades are taking shape in Sheffield. If approved, over 3,100 new council houses will be built over the next 10 years to meet the increased demand for affordable housing.
Technology centre
Plans have been developed by Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust over the last three years, with the support of Sheffield’s Universities, the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the private sector, for the most advanced child technology Centre in the world.
