The city’s 2019 resurfacing programme is off to a smooth start following the completion of works on Europa Link and in Woodhouse recently. In coming weeks, the focus will be on central areas, with numerous city centre routes set to be upgraded before the summer holiday period in July.

Bramall Lane to be resurfaced

Starting at the beginning of July and ending before the football season officially starts in August, Bramall Lane is set to be resurfaced by the Council’s highway maintenance contractor, Amey, over three long weekends.

Young trees in Sheffield

Labels are being fixed to newly-planted street trees across the city next week encouraging local people to help water them during dry weather.

Despite the recent rainfall we had a relatively dry spring, so watering young trees regularly ensures they have the best chance of establishing.
