30th anniversary of Hillsborough tragedy

On 15 April 2019, a Civic Service of Remembrance will be held to mark the 30th Anniversary of the Hillsborough Tragedy. The service will be held at 2pm in the Hillsborough Walled Garden, Hillsborough, Sheffield.

The Bishop of Sheffield, The Rt Revd Dr Pete Wilcox, who was the Dean of Liverpool Cathedral before he came to Sheffield, will be conducting the ceremony. 


Cllr Julie Dore will be in attendance alongside Cllr Mary Lea, Lord Mayor Magid Magid, and the High Sheriff of Sheffield.

 

The Former Lord Mayor of Liverpool Cllr Roz Gladden and Consort Cllr Roy Gladden will be representing the City of Liverpool.

 

The Union Flag on Sheffield Town Hall will also be flown at half-mast on 15 April.
