30 places are available for businesses and residents within Somerset to join AI Awareness training delivered by the King’s Institute for AI, King’s College London.
Who’s eligible to receive training?
- Business organisations and their employees who operate their business activities in Somerset
- Unemployed individuals who live in Somerset
- Some places are ringfenced to support individuals who are underrepresented in the technology sector
Training is delivered online with module completion spread across 3 weeks, see module overview. There are 3 training cohorts commencing 30 September, 28 October and 11 November.

Somerset Chamber of Commerce is hosting a business roadshow with the Great South West Partnership to connect business leaders, investors, MPs, Government officials and local authorities to raise the profile of our region and champion our business community.
The Somerset event is being held in Taunton between 8.30am and 10.30pm on Thursday, 3 October, and is one of a series of South West regional roadshows designed to give business leaders the opportunity to discuss a range of issues, enabling both the Chamber and the Partnership to lobby politicians and key policy-makers on their behalf.
The roadshow will also be an opportunity to find out more about the Great South West Partnership’s work in championing businesses to national investors and Government, and how we’re working together to create a stronger voice for our region.

Displaying your food hygiene rating shows customers that you take food hygiene seriously. This is even more important, as increasingly customers come across your business online.
Around 2 in 3 businesses report that even though they display their rating in their store or premises, they don’t think to display it online too! This is despite 9 out of 10 businesses receiving a food hygiene rating of 4 or 5. If you’re diligent in keeping your customers safe, why not let them know?
