Look out for the Tenant Satisfaction Survey
As a Sandwell Council tenant, you may receive an email or phone call later this month asking you to complete a Tenant Satisfaction Survey. Contact will be made by a company call Acuity who are carrying out the surveys.
The surveys are anonymous and will ask about your housing experience with us. Questions will cover things such as customer service, repairs and maintenance as well as questions around the safety of your home.
If you're contacted, we’d love to hear your thoughts. By sharing your views, you can help us understand what matters most to you and shape the services we provide. Your feedback helps us listen, learn and make improvements that benefit our tenants.
Tenant and Leaseholder Conference 2026
More than 60 residents joined us for our annual Tenant and Leaseholder Conference in September.
The event focused on highlighting the important role residents play in shaping housing services across the borough.
We’re always looking for more Sandwell Council tenants to engage with through our events, consultations, meetings and forums, workshops and more.
If you’re a Sandwell Council tenant or leaseholder and want to help us make a positive change, you can find out more and get involved by visiting our website.
Help make our housing services better
Do you want to influence the housing services you receive? If so, why not join our tenant panels?
Our tenant panels and groups give you the chance to share your views, ask questions to help us improve housing services. You'll work with us to make sure tenant voices are heard and that services continue to improve. No experience is needed, just your opinions and a willingness to get involved.

Could you get extra money with Pension Credit?
If you’re over State Pension age you could be entitled to Pension Credit.
Pension Credit gives you extra money to help with your living costs if you're over State Pension age and on a low income.
Some people miss out because they think they won’t qualify. But did you know:
- You can have savings and still qualify
- You can have a private pension and still qualify
- Pension Credit is paid on top of your State Pension
- You need to apply - Pension Credit isn’t paid automatically
If you're over state pension age it’s worth checking, even if you don’t think you’ll qualify. It doesn't take long to check and you could be eligible.
Tenant Auditors attended the Association of Retained Council Housing (ARCH) conference
Our Tenant Engagement Team took four of our Tenant Auditors to the annual ARCH tenant conference in Mansfield last month! It's the first time Sandwell has attended.
Tenant Auditors are a group of tenants who scrutinise housing services and offer recommendations to help us make improvements.
The event showcased the impact of tenant involvement, with tenants’ groups from across the country sharing real examples of positive change achieved through engagement and collaboration.
The day provided plenty of learning, some fresh ideas and best practice that we can apply here in Sandwell as we continue to strengthen tenant voice and engagement.
Do you want to be a Tenant Auditor? Contact us at Comm_Partnerships@sandwell.gov.uk to find out more.
