 ๐ Safer 6 campaign is under way ๐ฎโโ๏ธ
๐งโ๐ Our Safer 6 community safety campaign is now in full swing, following an action-packed Week 1 in Oldbury and roadshow launch event at Asda Oldbury.
๐ The campaign moves to Tipton from Monday (16 June), with focused activities and events to address concerns, provide information and promote services that help people stay safe and healthy.

๐ There are lots of activities lined up for the week across the town, including an information roadshow at Asda Great Bridge, Brickhouse Lane, DY4 7HW, on Monday from 10.30am to 12.30pm. Come along, get advice and have a chat with the Safer 6 team!

๐ Join Men's Mental Health Walks this weekend! ๐ง
๐We're standing shoulder to shoulder and walking for men's mental health as part of Men's Health Week.
๐ฃ Two of our councillors โ Councillor Jackie Taylor, Cabinet Member for Adult Services and Health and Wellbeing, and Councillor Luke Cotterill โ are taking on a six-park, three-day walking challenge.
๐ณ They set off from Sandwell Council House in Oldbury this morning, and you can join them for a one-hour walk both tomorrow (Saturday 14 June) and Sunday (15 June).

๐ Dartmouth Park, West Bromwich โ Meet at the Visitors' Centre for a 10.30am set-off
๐ย Britannia Park, Rowley Regis โ Meet at the multi-use games area by the car park of B4171 at approximately 1.30pm

๐ Lightwoods House & Park โ Meet at Lightwoods House for a 10.30am set-off
๐ย West Smethwick Park โ Meet at The Pavilion at approximately 1pm plus activities in the park including street games, learn to ride a bike with British Cycling, wellbeing and volunteering information and family activities from 2pm until 4pm.

๐ฉย Black Country Women's Aidย offers a range of support services for women, men and children fleeing domestic abuse, rape, sexual assault and human trafficking.
๐ฉโ๐ผ They also offer specialist support to people with disabilities, men affected by domestic abuse and young people aged 16-21.

๐ย Volunteersโ Week in Sandwellย has been incredible as weโve celebrated the estimated 48,000 helpers across the six towns.
๐ Organisations all over the borough took the opportunity to say a special โthank youโ to their volunteer helpers who keep things going.
๐ช From sorting out the social media to washing the football kit, Sandwell volunteers support our local good causes in hundreds of different ways.
๐ This year, some organisations combined their volunteer celebrations with a Big Lunch, supported by a Sandwell Council Vision 2030 grant on the theme of health and wellbeing.
๐จ Volunteering is a great way to improve wellbeing, make friends and have fun.
