Set in the beautiful Shakespeare Garden at Lightwoods House, this production promises to captivate your imagination and immerse you in the timeless magic of Shakespeare's work. 🎭
🎫 Join us this weekend to witness this blend of artistry and nature. There are two performances tomorrow (Saturday) and one on Sunday.

 Safer 6 is back – working together for a safer Sandwell
👮♀️🧑🚒 Our Safer 6 community safety campaign kicks off from Monday (9 June), bringing six weeks of focused activities and events to address concerns, provide information and promote services that help people stay safe and healthy.

There are lots of activities lined up for the week, including an information roadshow at Asda Oldbury, Wolverhampton Road, B69 4PU, on Tuesday (10 June) from 10.30am to 12.30pm. Come along, get advice and have a chat with the Safer 6 team!
🗓️ Each week will focus on a specific town during the Safer Sandwell Partnership campaign, with activities and information roadshows run by the council, police, fire service and other partner organisations.

❤️ There will be a number of health and wellbeing pop-up events during Safer 6, starting on Wednesday (11 June) 12 noon to 3pm at Langley Park, B69 4SP, and Friday 13 June 1pm to 3pm at Brandhall Library, B68 0JT. Whether you have questions, need advice, or just want to learn more about staying well, we’ve got you covered!
🧠 Men's Mental Health walks in Sandwell 💙
🌳 In support of Men's Mental Health Week, we have six one-hour walks scheduled across Sandwell for men's mental health from Friday 13 June.

Victoria Park, Tipton – Meet at the War Memorial at approximately 10.30am
Brunswick Park, Wednesbury – Meet at the Play Area at approximately 1.30pm
Saturday 14 June
Dartmouth Park, West Bromwich – Meet at the Visitors’ Centre for a 10.30am set-off
Britannia Park, Rowley Regis – Meet at the multi-use games area by the car park of B4171 at approximately 1.30pm
Sunday 15 June
Lightwoods House & Park – Meet at Lightwoods House for a 10.30am set-off
West Smethwick Park – Meet at The Pavilion at approximately 1pm plus activities from 2pm until 4pm.

🏠Sandwell Council Tenant and Leaseholder Conference 2025
✔️ Join us on Saturday 5 July, at Sandwell Council House from 10.30am to 3.30pm. A light lunch will be provided. This year’s conference is a child-friendly event, with activities provided for children on the day.
💬 Tenants and leaseholders are invited to take part in a workshop, hear insights from guest speakers and share their experiences as residents of Sandwell.
🤝 This year’s conference will focus on the theme of being a good neighbour and celebrating actions that help build stronger and more connected communities.

👏 British Weight Lifting Adaptive Open recap 💪
🏋️♂️ Oldbury Academy proudly hosted another national weightlifting competition last Saturday (31 May)
❗ This was the first British WeightLifting event of its kind for athletes with a disability.
💪 The British Weightlifting Adaptive Open involved competitors carrying out the same lifts as Olympic weightlifters!
🎉 Congratulations for another amazing accomplishment by Oldbury Academy Weightlifting Club and all the athletes involved.
