Stay safe swimming in Sandwell
It may be tempting to cool down in during the summer, but cold water shock kills and has hidden dangers that can trap even the strongest swimmers.
Never swim in any form of open water, unless part of an organised club.
Don't allow children to play near water without an adult present.
We have some amazing swimming facilities in Sandwell to enjoy instead.

Volunteers’ Week: Bring a tin to help our communities
You can make a big difference to residents' lives by donating a tin of food at any Sandwell library, during Volunteers' Week from 3 to 7 June 2024.
Sandwell food banks are desperately short of tinned goods to distribute to the hundreds of families relying on them. Tins can be donated at any Sandwell library during Volunteers’ Week and will be taken to the nearest food bank.
You can also join us in a spring clean for the Big Help Out on Saturday 8 June at Haden Hill House and Sunday 9 June at West Smethwick Park between 10am-12noon. Equipment for both days will be provided. You can also drop off donations of tinned food. Find hundreds of ways to help out all year round via the Lets Go Sandwell website.
Wednesbury Town Centre Masterplan consultation
