Sandwell celebrates the King's Coronation

There were some fabulous community events over the Bank Holiday weekend to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III.

We gave small grants of up to £500 to support local community groups with help from Sandwell Council of Voluntary Organisations (SCVO).

From lawn bowls to patriotic crafts and tea parties, we hope you've all had a wonderful Coronation!

Thanks to everyone who has shared photos with us.

Coronation celebrations at Sandwell Valley

We have loved celebrating the King's Coronation and have seen so many of you have got into the spirit with your own parties and celebrations.

We had more than 5,000 people attend our free Big Picnic Lunch and Coronation Concert live screening event at Sandwell Valley on Sunday and had a great time with local community stalls, live music and awesome street food all on offer.
