World AIDS Day 2021

World AIDS Day, remembering those lost and promoting health

This year marks 40 years since the first diagnosed cases of HIV in the UK. Living with HIV in 2021 is a world away from the 1980s.

We all must continue to tackle HIV stigma and discrimination and keep ourselves safe by using protection and doing regular testing.

The Deputy Mayor of Sandwell, Councillor Richard Jones, to mark World AIDS Day had his head shaved to show solidarity with people living with HIV, and raise funds for charities.
