Sustrans, the walking and cycling charity, and Sandwell Council are interested in identifying how children and their parents/guardians travel to and from school so we can improve safety and sustainability around transport.

The deadline is midnight Sunday 19 July. Everyone who completes the survey will be entered into a prize draw to win a bike worth up to £400 including accessories (helmet and lock).

The Virtual Birmingham, Sandwell and Westside Jazz Festival - every day from 17 to 26 July 2020

Normally this time of year sees us getting ready for the 10 days of Jazz Jollity that is the Birmingham, Sandwell & Westside Jazz Festival.

Despite this year's Festival being moved to October, we're reluctant to break our 36 year run of July Festivals - and we know the same will go for plenty of our loyal festival regulars.

So we've decided to produce, on the original July dates scheduled for the festival, the neatly-titled Virtual But Remarkably Real Birmingham, Sandwell & Westside Jazz Festival.

Every day from July 17 to 26, we will be presenting online at 8am, a Jazz Digest with regular features, a bunch of random thoughts, memories and anecdotes – some of them actually true.
