With pubs, cafes and restaurants due to open this weekend, things will be different to before lockdown.

⛔️There may be limits to the number of people allowed to visit pubs, cafes and restaurants

❗️Group sizes of visitors may be limited

✅Check websites and social media for the place you want to visit

✅Book ahead - even if you are just going for a coffee or pint, there may be a booking system

You must remain at least 1 metre apart from others not in your household, although 2 metres is safer.

🚫If you have COVID-19 symptoms or have been a contact of someone infected then you must stay home. This can save lives.🚫

Although more places will be open, this is not the time to be complacent. The virus is still out there.

Just a reminder about our new booking system for the tip.

From Monday 6 July you will have to book to visit the tip at Shidas Lane in Oldbury.

🚫If you do not book, you will not be allowed entry.🚫

Please bring with you proof of address to show you live in Sandwell and also separate rubbish and recycling before you come.

Slots are available from 8am and the last slot is 3.45pm. You must turn up no more than 10 minutes before your booked slot.

You can only book up to two weeks in advance and that you can currently only make one booking every two weeks.

No vans or trailers, only cars will be permitted to use the site.

Photos of Lockdown As part of the Black Country Festival 2020 Sandwell Libraries and Archives would like your photos, video, audio recordings or in writing showing life in lockdown and throughout the pandemic, covering ‘Everyday Life’, ‘Family’, ‘The Outdoors,’ ‘Isolation’ and ‘Shielding’. They will be put into an online gallery. If you want to take part email Archives_Service@sandwell.gov.uk. You'll be sent a deposit form so the material can be kept in the archives for the years to come.
