NEW booking system at the tip

Lots of you have been asking about a booking system for the tip. From Monday 6 July you will have to book to visit the tip at Shidas Lane in Oldbury. 🚫If you do not book, you will not be allowed entry.🚫 Please bring with you proof of address to show you live in Sandwell and also separate rubbish and recycling before you come. Slots are available from 8am and the last slot is 3.45pm. You must turn up no more than 10 minutes before your booked slot. You can only book up to two weeks in advance and that you can currently only make one booking every two weeks. No vans or trailers, only cars will be permitted to use the site. Book online to visit the tip.

With face coverings now compulsory on public transport, we are seeing more of these thrown on the street.😡😡😡

😷If you use disposable masks and gloves, please throw them away in a bin when you get home.😷

They cannot be recycled and must go in with your household waste in your grey bin.

Tissues should also be put in the household bin and if people in the household have symptoms, they should be double bagged.

Parking charges return to Sandwell

Don't forget - parking charges apply in Sandwell Council town centre car parks from tomorrow 1 July 2020.

If you need to purchase a permit, you can download a form from our website and email it to our parking team.

We will then contact you to take payment over the phone.

The amount of litter being left behind in our parks and green spaces is totally unacceptable 😡

If you are visiting Sandwell's parks this weekend (or any day!) use a bin for your litter. Don't just leave it behind 🗑

And if the bin is full, take your rubbish back home with you - no excuses, if you brought it with you, you can take it home again 👍
