The Household Recycling Centre - the tip in Shidas Lane, Oldbury - is now closed until further notice. This follows the Government's announcement this week that only essential travel is to be undertaken.
Please do not be tempted to clear out your homes and gardens during this time as there will be no outlet for waste.
Waste and recycling collections
We are continuing to collect household waste, recycling and food waste.
Owing to likely staff shortages resulting from the outbreak, the frequency and timing of collections will be monitored and amended as necessary.
With more of us at home, bins will be fuller than usual. Try and reduce your waste and recycle as much as you can.
Any garden waste during this time can be composted in a home composter or bagged up and stored in the rear of properties or outbuildings such as sheds and garages.
Bulky waste items and other waste that cannot fit inside bins will have to remain on the property until collections resume. Please do not put items out on the street.
