Can you believe that we're nearly two weeks into February already?! The days are getting longer, the weather is slightly warmer and the flowers are getting ready to bloom. 

Read on below as we share reminders on the upcoming DMS submission deadline, the importance of lodging properties via Trustmark, ABS deadline reminders and more.

DMS data submission deadline reminder

The DMS data submission deadline is always on the 10th working day of the month. Staying on top of these helps us track progress and keep everything running smoothly. 

The next deadline to submit your reports is tomorrow, Friday 14 February 2025.

Make sure you lodge your completed property on TrustMark

The critical nature of accurate lodgement has been cemented with the recent news relating to poor quality insulation work. Plus, properties retrofit through the schemes are only officially considered complete once they’ve been submitted. Since this process can be lengthy, starting early will help ensure everything is finalised on time. This step is also crucial for auditing purposes.

What's needed for TrustMark reporting?

To stay aligned with TrustMark requirements, be sure to have the following details submitted in your monthly DMS report: 

• property upgrade details: include the property address, postcode, UPRN and pre and post-installation EPC ratings (easily found in the 'property details' tab
• installed measure details: capture details like measure type, installation date, cost and TrustMark reference number. These are all in the 'measure details' tab

Regular Friday meetings for current capital schemes

In response to the Ministerial announcement on cases of non-compliant solid wall insulation installed under the ECO and GBIS schemes, the department have set up a weekly series of meetings for grant recipients.

• a weekly series of invites has been sent for Home Upgrade Grant grant recipients from hug.project@Energysecurity.gov.uk
• weekly invites for Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund Wave 2 grant recipients are sent from SHDF.Enquiries@beis.gov.uk

ABS system closure – key dates and resources

A reminder on the following key dates for the ABS:

• the ABS is no longer accepting new batch applications
• the last date for batch amendments will be Friday 23 May 2025

(SHDF) Waves 2.1 and 2.2 updates

Maximising delivery for Wave 2

The department recently wrote to grant recipients on Wave 2.1 and Wave 2.2 setting out its maximising delivery offer, giving grant recipients flexibility to adjust their projects to maximise delivery of homes and support grant spend ahead of the closure of the grant funding window on 31 March 2025.

Please refer to the guidance sent by the department on Friday 17 January for Wave 2.1 and Friday 7 February for Wave 2.2. If you haven't received them, please notify your SPOC.

A reminder on the following key deadlines:

• Tomorrow, Friday 14 February: deadline for Wave 2.1 grant recipients to submit their maximising delivery project change requests (PCRs)
• Friday 21 February: deadline for Wave 2.2 grant recipients to complete their grant intensity requests via either the MS Form or PCR route

The department aims to communicate outcomes before the end of year accruals deadlines in March, so if you cannot meet these deadlines, please notify your SPOC as soon as possible so that further support can be given.

Guidance on the end of year accruals process will also be shared in due course.

Wave 2 data

As the end of the financial year approaches, it is vital that the data you report is as accurate and up to date as possible.

Please ensure that in your next data upload, due 14 February 2025, you report your most up to date forecasts and actuals of delivery and spend, taking into account compliance with scheme rules, co-funding and A&A.

Please pay particular attention to the ‘totals’ columns (which are automated based on the profile data you include) and the March 2025 column for both grant and co-funding spend.

Grant recipients are reminded that, besides the “monthly SHDF grant claim received/forecasted”, all spend must be reported on a cumulative basis based on spend incurred (rather than cash paid).
