Following extensive discussions with Leaders of other councils across the county and with Essex MPs, Essex County Council is to apply to the Secretary of State for Health to be placed into the new ‘High level’ banding of Covid-19 restrictions.
Essex continues to see an increase in cases, which the County’s Director of Public Health and Wellbeing, Dr Mike Gogarty has advised will continue to accelerate unless urgent action is taken and a move to ‘High’ from the current ‘Medium’ level is made sooner rather than later.
Essex has seen a significant increase in the number of cases, and rates in nearly all districts are now rising exponentially.
 As a valued member of the Essex business community you are invited to take part in this survey. The purpose of the survey is to gather your opinions and thoughts relating to your need for support during this difficult time. Your views are important to Essex County Council and will shape the future provision of their business support services and economic growth strategy. The research team would particularly like to hear from the following sectors within the Rochford District;
Retail, Wholesale, Motor Trades, Hospitality, Arts, Entertainment, High-value Office-based Services, Construction, Adv. Manufacturing, Research Development, Transport and Storage.

 If you, or one of your employees or colleagues are involved in a road crash, the consequences can last for months or even years. The lost output, repair costs, vehicle replacement, staff absence and admin can be expensive, as can the damage to your professional reputation if your vehicle is branded. There is also the pain, suffering and grief experienced by the driver or others caught up in the incident.
If you drive or operate vehicles as part of your business in Essex the Safer Essex Roads Partnership (SERP) are offering free help and advice. Using the Driving for Better Business programme they offer FREE, no obligation, confidential guidance; with 1 in 3 crashes on our roads involving someone who is at work it's well worth a look. It will save money. It will save lives.
