The bulletin for 29th June 2020 from the Leader of Rochford District Council, Cllr Mike Steptoe, and MD Shaun Scrutton is now available. It includes the following headlines relevant to businesses;
Business Grants (Non-Discretionary Scheme)
The Council has now paid out £17.5m to 1,505 businesses in the Rochford district, which is 95% of the £18.4m total originally allocated by Government.
Rochford District Discretionary Business Grants Scheme
The Council has distributed over £580,000 to 113 businesses who were not eligible under the Non-Discretionary Scheme.
Test and Trace
The Council’s Environmental Health Team is part of the national Test and Trace response, working in partnership with Essex County Council (ECC) and Public Health England (PHE) which goes live today Monday 29 June 2020.
Businesses and organisations within the Rochford district must report where there has been any confirmed positive cases within their workplaces. You can find out more information here.
