Have your say on Swinton Precinct plans
As part of the ongoing redevelopment of the centre of Swinton, plans are underway to improve the public space around the Civic Hall and local shops. Following the redevelopment of the Civic Hall and Library, we want to create a welcoming, safe outdoor space. This reflects the feedback that the community have given to us in previous rounds of consultation.
The proposed changes include:
- Replacing the paving around the Civic Hall and local shops
- Overall enhancement of public spaces to tackle anti-social behaviour and improve the pedestrian experience
- Improved shop frontages
- New landscaped area including seating
- Under-5’s play area
- Creating direct pedestrian access between the library and Station Street
If you were unable to have your say at our consultation drop-in session at Swinton in February, there's still time to let us know what you think about the proposed changes.
Complete the online questionnaire at: www.rotherham.gov.uk/consultations before it closes on Monday 24 March 2025.
Save the Date: Our next Community Forum Meeting will be held on Monday 28 April at 6pm.
Whether you're eager to share ideas, get involved in upcoming initiatives, or simply want to stay informed, your presence will be greatly valued.
Together, we can build a stronger, more connected community. See you there!
