As part of the year-long celebration of Rotherham becoming the world’s first Children’s Capital of Culture, we’re excited to announce details for the Otherham Winter Festival!
Prepare to be amazed by a captivating trail of projection installations that will transform the town into a reimagined world like never before.
This free event will include five projection sites, each telling their own story:
- The Ministry for Weather and Goodwill – Rotherham Minster (All Saint’s Square façade), Church St, Rotherham S60 1PD
- The Bright Ideas Mining Company Inc. – Rise House, Vicarage Ln, Rotherham S65 1AA
- The Otherham Chronicle – Holy Ghost tattoo, 36 High St, Rotherham S60 1PP
- The Cinema of Future Films – 32 High Street, Rotherham S60 1PP
- The Centre for Coming and Going – Rotherham Town Hall, The Crofts, Moorgate St, Rotherham S60 2TH.
Alongside the light trail, there will also be walk-about performances, creative workshops and pop-up busking performances from Rotherham Music Service.
Otherham will take place over 3 consecutive evenings: Friday 24, Saturday 25 & Sunday 26 January 2025, 4:30pm to 8:30pm each evening.

The Grin & Tonic Comedy Club returns to Rotherham Civic Theatre next Saturday night.
Enjoy an evening of stand up comedy with compere Anthony J. Brown and hilarious comedians Jonny Pelham, Mick Ferry, Rachel Hough and Craig Caldwell.

The dates for the 2025 Monthly Yorkshire Crafters Markets have been confirmed so if you would like to showcase your making, baking and crafting skills, why not book a stall? It's only £7.
Each event promises to feature a range of unique goodies from local makers, artists, crafters and bakers.
Held the second Saturday of the month, from 10am to 3pm along Effingham Street.
