Forging ahead as build programme enters final phase

Building work is on track at Forge Island as the flagship development enters the final months of construction.

Work began on site in November 2022 and construction has continued at pace, with all topping out milestones due to be reached early this year on the cinema, Travelodge hotel and restaurant buildings.

Once the works complete at the end of spring, the tenants will fit out their premises ready for the scheme opening this summer.

Market & Library development new look revealed

An artist’s impression has been released giving the latest glimpse of what the ambitious market and library complex will look like.

The to scale drawings show a cedar clad modern, light filled double height chamber which, once developed, will give a sense of space and scale.

The plans, which were approved in the summer, will bring together the library, markets, food hall, gallery, and event spaces.
