 Rotherham is now officially a breastfeeding friendly borough after the launch of a new campaign to support mums and families to make the right choice for themselves and their babies.
Breastfeeding offers so many health benefits for both mum and baby that are currently being missed by families who would like to breastfeed. By becoming a Breastfeeding Friendly Borough, it will help these families to feel confident in their choice and to access the benefits which include protection from infection for baby.

 Students from schools and colleges across Rotherham have performed well in A Level results published this week.
Around 2,500 young people across nine sixth form schools and colleges in the borough have received their A Level results. Over 3,900 students received their A Level and equivalent results. GCSE results are set to be released next week. Good luck to everyone waiting for their grades.

Music, dance, theatre and comedy, places to play and rest, blooms, bakes and much more, Rotherham Show is back with old favourites and new attractions on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 September.
New for this year's show is the Festival Village, curated by FLUX Rotherham, a celebration of the year-round tradition of festivals across Rotherham with an amazing programme of performances and workshops.

 Residents across the borough are being invited to take part in the Rothercare consultation to share their thoughts on the service and how it should change and grow.
Rothercare supports residents with a community alarm service to help people live independently in their own homes and provides assistive technology, including fall detectors, clocks and medication dispensers.
Paper versions of the consultation will also be available for residents at planned drop in sessions across the borough.
The consultation will run from Tuesday 15 August 2023 to Friday 13 November 2023. Take part in the consultation at www.rotherham.gov.uk/consultations.

The Council is currently surveying unpaid carers about a number of issues, including the future of unpaid carer services, and where carers get their advice and information from.
Residents can feedback at an online workshop from 11.30am to 1pm on Thursday 7 September 2023. If you are interested in coming along, register for the event.
A new job is a new adventure and coaching, advice and information is available at an Employability Coaching session to be held at Riverside House on Thursday 7 September.

 There's till time to celebrate all that's great about Yorkshire. Even if you didn't get chance to follow the town centre parade for Yorkshire Day earlier this month, we've still plenty of events running on Saturdays in August.

WE Wonder Festival returns to the Wentworth Woodhouse Gardens this summer for a colourful day of artistic installations and family-friendly performances on Monday 28th August.

Just a year since they blazed a trail to win the UEFA Women's EURO 2022, England's lionesses have done it again by reaching the FIFA Women's World Cup Final 2023.
They'll face Spain at 11am (UK time) on Sunday 20 August, hoping to complete a Euro and World double.
Rotherham played a big part in all of this, hosting some of last summer's group games. And of course our memorable fan events. We're wishing them all the best for a repeat of their victory.
